Cotoneaster franchetii
This popular ornamental plant is native to Tibet and southwestern China and according to the study carried out in the UK, the bushy, hairy-leaved varieties of cotoneaster are “super plants” that can help soak up air pollution. The leaves for this piece of jewelry were foraged from a shrub in Seoul. Some of the leaves grow in a heart shape, so you can choose from 2 different versions.
Properties: several species of Cotoneaster are used for medicinal purposes such as cardiotonic, diuretic, expectorant and antiviral in different countries. The medicinal uses of the species range from helping with diabetes mellitus and hemorrhoids, to being used as an expectorant in Anatolia folk medicine.
